Once again, our job stability and security is being shaken as our economy has entered a deep recession, once again, our concerns are multiplying… Do companies need to fire? Are freelancers again the first ones to be let go? Are all the industries and profiles equally impacted by this crisis? What about FinTechs? Are some companies still hiring?
Our state has put in place several solutions to help preventing too many people and companies from going bust. Temporary unemployment could be a way to avoid having to fire good and skilful employees and in the future, having to hire and re-train new staff. To which extend is it being used during this lockdown?
The lockdown has forced digitalisation and homeworking upon many companies, even the ones not ready for it yet. Many say that part-time homeworking could just become a new standard for most of us. New procedures, new tools, new mindset, do companies and employees alike need special training to do this well, efficiently and keeping at heart social and wellbeing values? Will new types of profiles emerge from this part of digitalisation?
Thanks to key figures from our sector, valuable insight from recruitment experts, and testimonials from survivors of the 2008-crisis, we will try to throw some light on the current recruitment trends and what to expect in the future.
