A wonderful panel discussion at The Banking Scene Conference in Brussels!

 

FTBE had the privilege of attending The Banking Scene Conference, and it was truly a remarkable experience! 

Our CEO Alessandra Guion, alongside Board Members Toon Vanagt, Nicolas Vincent, and Jean-Francois Heering, had the privilege of attending The Banking Scene Conference in Brussels. Alessandra took the stage for an insightful panel discussion on the importance of partnerships in creating dream-driven financial services. The event held at Maison de la Poste, gathered industry leaders, innovators, and visionaries to discuss the future of financial services. 

Joining forces with Tom Boedts from Aion Bank, Jérémy Lambot from Belfius, Nicolas De Vijlder from BNP Paribas Fortis, and moderated by Bernard Nicolay from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, the panel delved into the topic "Synergies of Success: Navigating Partnerships in the Landscape of Dream-Driven Financial Services", where speakers explored the transformative power of diverse collaborations across the financial services sector, and the myriad forms of strategic partnerships that shape the future of finance. 

Panel Highlights:

  1. Speakers explored how strategic partnerships are essential for driving innovation and meeting consumer demands.

  2. The discussion included real-world examples of effective partnerships, highlighting a collaboration that significantly enhanced consumer experience through joint ventures.

  3. Various models such as embedded finance, joint ventures, and spin-offs were discussed. Speakers elaborated on the advantages and limitations of each model, providing insights into emerging trends that may shape the future.

  4. Speakers shared how empathy and understanding of consumer needs have driven successful partnership initiatives.

  5. Common challenges in navigating partnerships were addressed, along with strategies to mitigate them.

  6. Looking ahead, the speakers discussed the evolving landscape of partnerships in financial services, driven by regulation, technology, and new business models. Alessandra provided a forward-looking perspective on how Fintech Belgium is preparing for these changes.

The event also provided an excellent opportunity for networking and catching up with industry peers.
