Fintech Belgium Attends Nexus2050 Event in Luxembourg

David Jacob, has just concluded an inspiring participation at the Nexus2050 event, organised by The LHoFT - Luxembourg House of Financial Technology. This inaugural event, hosted in the vibrant tech hub of Luxembourg, spotlighted the critical intersection of ecological and digital transitions necessary to achieve net-zero strategies by 2050.

For 3 days, Nexus2050 brought together stakeholders, including industry leaders, policymakers, and innovative start-ups, all committed to leveraging technology to foster sustainability. The event underscored key themes such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, cybersecurity, financial technology, as well as talent attraction and development.

Notable speakers included Thomas Krogh Jensen from Copenhagen Fintech, Sebastian Schaefer of TechQuartier, Nameer Khan of Mena Fintech Association, Takeshi Kito from Asian Fintech Alliance, Sarah Corley from Alliance of Digital Finance and Fintech Associations, and Alex Panican from The LHoFT.

Reflecting on his experience, David highlighted valuable discussions on the potential for cross-border collaboration among fintechs and the wider financial services industry. He emphasised the opportunities that arise from incorporating Luxembourg's tradition of mutualisation solutions into Belgium's fintech landscape. These discussions underscored the importance of creating partnerships between countries to foster innovation and sustainability within the global fintech ecosystem.
