FinTech Belgium part of the RegTech mission in Switzerland...

We're thrilled to share that FinTech Belgium was part of the RegTech mission in Switzerland.

Represented by two of our Board Members, Jean-Francois Heering, our Regtech Belgium Ambassador, and Toon Vanagt, Fintech Belgium participated in a dynamic event hosted by hub.brussels at the Belgian Embassy in Geneva on how regtechs might be part of the solution in achieving sustainable development goals.

The event brought together 11 Belgian and Swiss regtech firms for insightful discussions with Geneva's financial community, including professionals from banking, asset management, consultancy, and law. The overarching theme delved into the crucial role of regtechs in achieving sustainable development goals, exploring various perspectives from both Swiss and European standpoints.

Key points of discussion included:

✨ Addressing the challenges of navigating regulatory landscapes with defined 'whats' but ambiguous 'hows.'

✨ Recognizing the critical role of data, its scarcity, and the absence of a unified reference framework.

✨ Exploring the Swiss Climate Score and the importance of self-regulation in the evaluation of financial investments.

✨ Tackling the challenges in defining and understanding sustainable products.

✨ Examining the static nature of assessments and the need for dynamic evaluations over time.

A special thanks to Maxime Dohogne, Nathalie Stefanovic, and hub.brussels for organizing this enriching initiative, bringing together diverse perspectives and fostering collaboration among regtech innovators.
