FTBE attends the Financial Services Leaders' Breakfast

FTBE attends the financial services leaders' breakfast which took place on the occasion of the State Visit to Belgium of Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg.

Our CEO, Alessandra Guion, and Chairman of the Board, Jean-Louis van Houwe, had the pleasure of attending significant gatherings during the State visit of Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg to Belgium. Alessandra attended both the Financial Services Leaders' Breakfast and a special concert by the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra. These events highlighted the growing connections between Belgium and Luxembourg in finance and culture.

The Financial Services Leaders' Breakfast, held at Palais d’Egmont, brought together important players from both countries' financial sectors, including the Minister of Finance of Luxembourg, H.E. Gilles Roth, and the Minister of Finance of Belgium, H.E. Vincent Van Peteghem. The participation of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Grand Duke added a significant diplomatic dimension to the event, underlining its importance on the national stage.

Alessandra also enjoyed a fantastic concert by the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, hosted by the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg in honour of the Belgian King and Queen. These events celebrated Luxembourg and Belgium’s deep-rooted bonds, from history to culture, and politics to economics.

Reflecting on her experience, Alessandra shared valuable insights:

  • Luxembourg sets an exemplary standard in creating a robust financial ecosystem within the European Union.

  • The country's long-term vision of establishing Luxembourg as a key financial hub in the EU is coming into a reality.

  • Actors and associations collaborate and connect thanks to the support and dynamic efforts of the Minister of Finance.

  • Startups are supported, and incubated, whilst incumbents are accelerated.

  • Collaboration characterises the vibrant ecosystem of Luxembourg, driving innovation and progress in the financial sector.

We express our gratitude  to Luxembourg for hosting these important events, which have strengthened ties between our countries and enriched our cultural exchanges.
