FTBE Board of Directors and CEO David Jacob Shape Ambitious 2025 Strategy
In an exciting mix of business and bonding, the Board of Directors of Fintech Belgium, along with CEO David Jacob, recently travelled to Cadzand for a strategy day that combined productive discussions with a refreshing surfing activity. Under Chairman Toon Vanagt’s excellent steering, the day began with a full-on strategic session, where the board approved an ambitious growth strategy and Vision 2025.
This proposal focuses on doubling the organisation’s membership by the end of 2025 and continuing to facilitate effective matchmaking between members, banks, insurers, and the broader financial services industry. This approach aims to foster collaboration, spark innovation, and drive sector growth. The strategy, which was thoroughly discussed, revolves around four critical pillars essential to the fintech sector's development:
Talent: Building a strong talent pipeline to meet the industry’s evolving needs.
Demand: Stimulating demand for fintech solutions across industries.
Policy: Collaborating with regulators to create a supportive policy environment.
Capital: Improving access to funding and investment opportunities for Fintech Belgium members.
The strategy session saw active participation from board members Amélie Breitburd, Brent Dedecker, Magali Van Bulck, Nico Vincent, Robert Masse, Toon Vanagt, Alessandra Guion, Xavier Corman, Joan Carette, Jean-Francois Heering, Johannes Vermeire, Bjorn Cumps and Patricia Boydens. Their valuable insights and collaborative discussions were instrumental in shaping the transformative plans for the coming year.
