Join the Trade mission to Japan with hub.brussels!

From 5 to 9 December, hub.brussels, in collaboration with the FIT, AWEX and the Agency for Foreign Trade, will lead a Belgian delegation to Japan for its last trade mission of the year, in the presence of Princess Astrid. Interested in exploring the Japanese market? We will take you to Tokyo (December 5 and 6), Nagoya (December 7) and Osaka (December 8 and 9)!

In the context of the entry into force of the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement in February 2019 and the gradual reopening of borders following the corona crisis, we invite you to prospect this market, with its incredible opportunities, in situ. As the partner of choice in Asia for European countries, in a few figures, Japan represents:

  • The 2nd largest trading partner in Asia after China;

  • The 3rd largest economy in the world behind the United States and China;

  • The 7th largest export market of the European Union.

A multi-sectoral mission focused on three strands

While this mission is open to all companies interested in the Japanese market, hub.brussels is particularly targeting entrepreneurs from all backgrounds active in:

  1. Artisanal products from Brussels: Japan is a reference market for refined, high quality products, so it is an excellent opportunity to showcase your food products, jewellery or leather goods.

  2. market access: companies in tax, legislation or consultancy… come and meet Japanese entrepreneurs looking to export to the European market.

  3. sustainable energy and infrastructure: with its fifth Strategic Energy Plan, Japan is aiming to achieve a more diversified energy mix by 2030. Sustainable companies therefore have everything to gain by investing in this market.
