DKB and Netcetera enable smooth and convenient online payments with Visa Debit

One card for everything: The software company Netcetera, the market leader for 3-D Secure in  the DACH region, has successfully supported Deutsche Kreditbank AG (DKB) in its transition  to a one-card strategy. Using Netcetera's SCA-compliant 3DS ACS, DKB increases its success  rates for Visa Debit payment transactions.

Digital payments are everywhere: in web stores, in apps, and at the checkout with a smartphone. To  meet the diverse use cases of its more than 5.2 million customers, DKB introduced the free Visa Debit  card at the end of 2021 as a top-of-wallet card for the DKB checking account. Netcetera, as a proven  expert for secure digital payment, has successfully accompanied this path with its 3-D Secure  products.

The Netcetera Access Control Server (ACS) is the backbone of the project, as the 3DS product is  certified according to the latest protocols and, at the same time, supports all PSD2 exemptions.  Secure two-factor authentication (SCA) of cardholders is ensured, while the user experience is  optimized with convenient authentication methods. DKB makes use of the management functions of  the ACS. Netcetera is also able to react flexibly and agilely to technical requirements, for example, the  new DKB Banking App was integrated for DKB.

"We are pleased to have Netcetera as a strong partner at our side. They provide us with custom-fit  digital business solutions for digital life, creating real added value for the user experiences of our more  than 5.2 million customers. Smooth and reliable processing of online payments around the clock!",  says Maren Heiß, Head of Retail Banking at DKB.

Bernhard Binz, Director Sales at Netcetera, adds: “As an existing partner for the DKB Visa Credit  cards, we have once again convinced DKB with our flexible yet extremely economical platform. The  second largest direct bank in Germany also chose Netcetera in its search for the best possible partner  for the new processing solution for Visa Debit.”

DKB already relied on Netcetera in 2019, modernizing the 3-D Secure process for its customers and  integrating payment approval via biometrics. This latest implementation of Netcetera ACS and Visa  Debit is another example of their successful cooperation.
