Fintech Belgium at Fintech Day in Vilnius

We had a great time in Vilnius last week, where our CEO Alessandra Guion attended the Fintech Day on Thursday 09/02/23, and was part of a panel on fintech trends for 2023: global turbulences, hot topics and challenges in our industry.

The panel was brilliantly moderated by Gintare Baciuliene, head of technology sector team at Invest Lithuania and featured the bright and witty panelists Andrius Bičeika deputy CEO and board member at Revolut, Tadas Vizgirda managing director of Shift4 Payments and Chris Crespo, founding partner at Nordic Fintech Magazine.

It was a really fun yet insightful discussion on the future of finance and fintechs. The panelists discussed some interesting trends: despite the gloom and doom of crisis that has hit the US quite hard, 2023 shows a bright future for Europe and our industry.

The main takeaways being that embedded finance and smart insurance are growing fast - ecosystems and hubs are working hard to make sure regulators are aware of their important role in innovation, profitability and competitiveness of our whole industry - RegTechs and AI are promising a invaluable help to FS to stay profitable and competitive.
